The on-form Decider looks weighted to confirm his superiority over Monsieur Reynard based on their last meeting but having scored over course and distance when just a pound worse off last time we'll side with METAL GURU. Reg Hollinshead's mare has only had four outings this year and given that she only just got up near the finish last time makes her hard to assess. On the face of it her pound mark rise looks light and having placed here off a higher mark at this time of year last season she should run a big race. Decider followed a course and distance half length victory over the re-opposing Monsieur Reynard with a place when not quite getting an extra furlong again at this venue on his latest effort. With his pilot's claim removing five pounds from his back he is effectively just a pound higher than when taking that last success so he remains a danger. Chantilly Dancer was an easy winner last time out so should go well again off just three pounds heavier but in a pretty decent contest we like the look of Metal Guru.
