        Verdict

        EDGAR went close here on his all-weather debut and has won his last two starts at Southwell. Expected to stay today's extra distance, David Bridgewater's charge gets the nod. Consortium finally opened his account over 1m6f here last month with Pinotage well behind while the latter had earlier beaten Tidal Way over the same trip here. The veteran Hallstatt should be sharper for a recent comeback run while Mirsaale posted his best effort for some time on his return to action at Chelmsford last week.
