Verdict
BLUE TOMATO is still a force at this level and is preferred to Imprimis Tagula and Hart Of Gold. A case can also be stated for Lethal (when he is on song) and he one to bear in mind for at least a place. Hart Of Gold is holding his form well and is still on a competitive mark. It can be argued that another furlong would suit him better, though. Imprimis Tagula has also retuned to form of late and still has claims despite being raised 4lb for his latest success. However, it is notable that all his wins have been at Southwell and it is reasonable to assume the fibresand is his favourite surface. Therefore, the versatile Blue Tomato gets the nod on this occasion. The eight-year-old is thriving on being kept busy and, having been given a live chance by the handicapper, this reliable gelding is worth another throw of the dice.
