Verdict
Sharp Hat, Henry Tun and Best Lead look the ones to concentrate on in this open claimer and we will side with Sharp Hat. The gelding from the David Chapman yard is well clear on official BHB ratings and, with conditions in his favour, he is taken to score. Henry Tun, who is dropping into claiming company for the first time in a while, has a good draw and is sure to have the race run to suit; so he is a danger to all. Best Lead is also worthy of respect as he was a fair fifth behind Ladies Knight last time out, but that was in first time blinkers and they may not work again. Of the remainder: Catchthebatch is well in on his best form and, with a fair apprentice taking off a handy 7lb, he could go well at a big price. But in a tricky affair, we are happy to side with the gallant Sharp Hat.
