chased leaders, hampered after 1f, soon hung left, ridden amd every chance 2f out, kept on same pace
chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, one pace after
slowly into stride, always in last trio, hung left over 3f out

Silver Hotspur looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account after a couple of promising runs in his last two starts and Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt is taken to do just that and score here at the main expense of Another True Story and Time For Change. The last mentioned is a well bred newcomer from the yard of Barry Hills that has won this race twice in last three years. He makes more appeal on pedigree than Andrew Balding's Ranavalona. Richard Hannon's Grimes Glory has given little cause for optimism in two starts so far, while Candyland would need to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. Another True Story is entitled to improve for his debut effort but Silver Hotspur has obvious claims and is hard to oppose.
