Impromptu has shown enough in two races to warrant the vote here, Joseph Locke and Venetian Dancer look the main rivals. The selection has finished runner up on both his outings on the turf, not beaten far on either occasion. He has a nice American pedigree so there is an excellent chance that he will handle the surface and he looks the best option. Joseph Locke has put in three promising displays so far, all on different ground. He is also running here for the first time and has to be considered for each-way purposes. The pick of the newcomers could be Venetian Dancer. He is a relatively expensive son of Danehill Dancer who hails from a yard more than capable of having one ready first time up. Stevie Gee more prove to be the pick of the others, but we think Impromptu could be the one to take first prize
