Plenty in with chances in a wide-open event and marginal preference is for Dubaian Gift ahead of Croeso Croeso, Colonel Cotton, The Tatling and Pic Up Sticks. Andrew Balding's charge comes here in excellent heart after a convincing all-the-way success at Lingfield earlier in the month and this progressive four-year-old looks capable of defying a subsequent 8lb rise. Croeso Croeso caused an upset to land a Listed event at Bath last time but may have been flattered by the form and faces no easy task off a stiff mark while The Tatling has been knocking on the door in competitive handicaps this term but may find this on the sharp side nowadays. Colonel Cotton has place claims on his close second at York in which Henry Hall finished fifth and looks held while Pic Up Sticks ran below his best last time and is better judged on his winning reappearance at Beverley last month but has a low draw to overcome.
