As long as the ground stays fast, Demonstrate could provide the answer to a trappy Listed event while Peruvian Chief, Chookie Heiton and Resplendent Cee provide the main threat. John Gosden's charge showed progressive form last season, winning three times over seven furlongs and developing in to a smart performer by the end of the campaign. The five-year-old shaped as though failing to last home over a mile at Ascot on his seasonal return and this pacey performer, who can produce a fine turn of foot, should prove more adept over shorter distances so the drop back to six furlongs should not pose to many problems. Peruvian Chief has proved himself better than ever at the age of six and holds solid claims after landing a Listed event at Kempton last weekend but may prove better over the minimum trip while the smart Chookie Heiton lacks a recent run. Replendent Cee was given an enterprising ride to land a conditions event on testing ground at Haydock last time and has more on his plate at this level.
