In depth

Verdict

Nave is consistent and reliable with regard to getting involved at the business end but the record books reveal no win since 2010. This is a decent opportunity whilst TIME SQUARE is a far more regular visitor to the winner's circle with three wins from the last eight starts. However, all three came on Polytrack although the Carroll gelding is proficient on turf too as his penultimate start at Goodwood revealed when runner-up to Balmoral Castle in an amateur riders' handicap. Adam Kirby is a good booking and he gets the vote in a tricky puzzle. Tempuran, a German import for David Bridgewater, shaped well on his first outing for the yard when third at Chepstow after a considerable absence and is well worth a place on the shortlist.
