Verdict

An open affair in which ANYA is taken to progress again from a very pleasing return to action when third to Restaurateur over 7f at Kempton. Ed Walker's filly handles all ground, remains lightly-raced with scope for improvement and should appreciate the additional furlong. Circumvent will run his race as usual whilst Ree's Rascal is the only course and distance winner on show and should go well but is now asked to operate off a career-high mark. The obvious threat is Gaul Wood. Tom Dascombe's charge has finished third in useful Sandown handicaps the last twice and would be tough to beat if displaying the same level here but he has flattered to deceive in the past. Nevertheless, a good showing is anticipated off an unchanged mark.
