Sirvino is 7lb higher than when winning this last year while Figaro has only been entered as a precaution in case his first preference, the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle is abandoned. Williiam Haggas's Goodwood winner would have strong claims if taking his chance, however, and it would be no surprise to see Rock A Doodle Doo in the firing-line after a pipe-opener behind Ithoughtitwasover last month. The latter's trainer, Mark Johnston, saddles Becausewecan here. Robin Hoods Bay and Aldwick Bay could figure but VASILY clearly didn't handle the rain-softened ground at Newmarket last time and, in the hope that the storms have stayed away, gets the vote to make amends here.
