It would be no surprise to see Kavatcha run well on his first start on the flat however Optimus Maximus ran with promise on debut and he can take this on his way to more exalted surroundings; Masettos Fun joins French Riviera on the shortlist. At 825,000 euros, the selection comes with a bit of a reputation and he ran a fair race on his debut. He wasn't really fancied on that occasion but he shaped with promise and looks sure to improve now tried over this longer trip. Main rival French Riviera is nicely-bred and Sir Michael Stoute's colt is certainly likely to appreciate this step up in trip. Jamie Spencer takes the ride and he must be respected, although he is unlikely to be much of a price. April's Daughter has improved with every start but is probably one for handicaps later on, whilst Masettos Fun is one to watch in the betting on his racecourse debut. Upstart needs to improve but his trainer will not be rushing him, whilst Royal Tartan needs to improve markedly for the step up in trip. A tough finale, with narrow preference for Optimus Maximus.
