Saeed Bin Suroor complicates matters for backers by saddling two runners in this listed race in Pompeyano and Whispering Gallery with marginal preference for the former of those two as he is more likely to go on the ground. Mark Johnston's Bikini Babe is sure to have her supporters but is probably better on faster ground, while Henry Cecil's Bullet Train has yet to race on ground softer than good. Paul Cole's Traffic Guard was good value for his win in a conditions race at Newmarket two weeks ago and makes more appeal than Sir Michael Stoute's Kingdom of Fife, who is another that would probably prefer faster ground. Given the underfoot conditions, it may be worth siding with Richard Hannon's SOUL CITY, who is a confirmed performer on soft ground having won four times as a juvenile on ground softer than good and he can resume winning ways now that he encounters his favoured going for the first time this term.
