Verdict
Philip Hobbs does well with his runners when he sends them on the flat and, having shown decent form over timber at the turn of the year, his ODDSHOES may be worth chancing back on the level for the first time in 589 days. John Bridger's Choral Festival has claims on the form shown when successful here over 1m2f two outings ago but is far from certain to appreciate the return to further. Richard Hannon's Gordon Flash has slipped to a fair mark and should go well on the rain-softened ground so he has to be respected for a stable in fine form. Amy Weaver's Rare Malt ran well on soft ground at Haydock last time but that was over 1m2f and he may not want as far as this to show his best. Tecktal could be of interest on his belated reappearance but Oddshoes is the one that gets the vote on his return to the flat.
