The form of Danzili Bay's narrow defeat of Tagula Sunrise was given a significant boost at the weekend and, as such, the Ralph Beckett-trained colt is selected to follow up here, with Folga, Miss Cassia and Clove expected to put up the most resistance. The last mentioned put in a favourably comparable time to the selection in defeat at Redcar a fortnight ago - a repeat of which would bring him right into the argument here. Barry Hills has got his string firing again after dip in form earlier in the season, so Clove has to be placed high on the shortlist. Similar comments apply to Folga, who acted well on the better ground when winning at Musselburgh, and he looks sure to appreciate the underfoot conditions today. Jamie Mackay keeps the mount and a bold bid cannot be ruled out. Miss Cassia and Louphole are closely matched on these terms and both can go well for each-way players. However, Danzili Bay has improved markedly since his debut and may be too progressive a rival for the rest to deal with this afternoon.
