In depth

Verdict

Kiswahili put up a terrific debut performance and can land this modest maiden from Fine Lady and Aire de Mougins. Sir Mark Prescott's filly is bred for middle distances and is a big scopey filly so she is bound to improve with time. So her recent second to In The Fan was quite a remarkable effort, and over this slightly longer trip will be very difficult to beat. Fine Lady stepped up on her debut effort at Chepstow to chase home Press Express at the same track. With more improvement expected she looks the main threat to the selection. Aire de Mougins is no world beater but has performed well against some decent opposition, if he gets the extra furlong he should figure in the finish. Eastern Mandarin showed promise on his debut and may prove best of the others, but we think is rests between the fillies and Kiswahili gets the nod.
