Huntsmans Close was a leading fancy for last week's Wokingham Handicap but bolted on the way to the start and was withdrawn - he'll be a threat to all if behaving himself today. Gamesome went on to finish sixth in that Royal Ascot contest, finishing second of the group that raced on the far side, though he was behind Huntsmans Close at Newmarket last month. GOLDEN STEPS was only beaten a short-head by Clear Spring on his reappearance at Newbury having met trouble in-running. A pound better off today, Marco Botti's charge can reverse that form with the top weight and get back to winning ways. Both Deeds Not Words and Supplicant are starting to look well handicapped while Seeking Magic isn't out of this on his best form. Charles Molson won at Lingfield three weeks ago but the unlucky Boomerang Bob rates a bigger danger having only gone down by a neck to Bushcraft over course and distance at the start of the month.
