Verdict

FAIR COP is from a very speedy family and the form of his maiden victory here last month could not have worked out any better with the second and third both scoring next time. A mark of 82 on his handicap debut looks fair and he is getting 13lb from Volatile, who is eased slightly in grade. Parnassian was second to subsequent York winner Golden Apollo at Pontefract off this mark but was beaten five lengths. Open Wide has a first and a second here to his name but has been creeping up the weights without winning this year.
