      Verdict

Another tricky but interesting handicap on the card can go to Shredded, with Desert Quest, Grooms Affection and Camrose seen as the biggest dangers The selection is a late-maturing colt and showed he was going the right way when winning a 14-furlong Sandown handicap last time. A rating of 80 hardly seems to have overstated his claims and, even though he is running over a shorter trip today, can put up a bold show. Desert Quest rates an obvious danger as he was short-headed by Persian Lightning at Epsom last time, and the winner has since run very well at Royal Ascot. Vengeance ran well from today's mark at Epsom last time and his trainer is showing signs of a return to form now. Grooms Affection has been raised five pounds for his Sandown win on June 11 but, lightly raced, should be open to further improvement but would probably not want the going to be too firm today. And the likeable Camrose, who has scope for further improvement, and Realism, who continues to run respectably from his current mark, are others to consider but, for today, we will side with Shredded.
