Verdict

Morning Skye gave supporters of the well-backed Sea Youmzain a fright at Haydock last time. That was easily his best run on Turf and he is only a pound higher. DESERT PATH easily won a novice event over 1m2f here on his reappearance. He got trapped in a pocket when only beating one home on his handicap debut at Sandown subsequently and may be worth another chance, though is not certain to stay this far on breeding. Candidate won over this trip at Doncaster, however, before finding 1m7f too far on a return visit but Firlinfeu looked as though he might need further than this at Salisbury. Caspar The Cub disappointed on his Turf debut but is less exposed than Sotomayor.
