Kostar's fitness has to be taken on trust, but he is the pick on last season's form and he can beat Joy And Pain and Nivernais. The selection took on some decent enough opposition last summer, before mounting a successful all-weather campaign in December. He still looks on a very handy mark and a big run is expected. Joy And Pain has also been in good heart during the winter, and returned from a short break to land a competitive event at Lingfield last month. He looks well treated back on turf and should reward each-way support. Meanwhile Nivernais ran a blinder on her seasonal debut, finishing in front of her rivals on the wrong side when fifth to Najeebon at Folkestone. Emma Lavelle's Stage Secret is another to watch out for, but Kostar cannot be ignored off this weight and gets our vote.
