FRANCIS WALSINGHAM needs to overcome a low draw here, but we think he can do so and we'll side with him against Devil You Know and Rapid Water. Hughie Morrison's colt is making his handicap debut after breaking his maiden last time out over this trip at Ripon. He'd started out over seven furlongs, but the drop down paid dividends and it looks like this could be his distance, particularly on a fast surface. The yard's been in good form recently, and he's their only runner on the card. Devil You Know was a ready winner at Kempton last time out, and has two wins to his name from four outings. The draw would be a negative about him, but he seems to have a good attitude having won when slowly away. Rapid Water was behind Devil You Know last time out and is still learning the game. A pleasing winner second time out, it may take a couple of runs in handicaps before he hits the net. He's got weight in hand on all the others, and a decent draw. Timeteam is the top rated but been disappointing in better company; a step down in grade here could see him return to winning ways. Richard Hannon's Mamlakati is making her handicap debut; a costly purchase a year ago, she's been poor since losing her maiden tag first time out, but should come on for her one run this year. There are plenty of imponderables here, but we've come down on the side of Francis Walsingham.
