In depth

Verdict

In an interesting race, Hoh Mike gets the vote ahead of Sonny Red and Bazroy. The form of Hoh Mike's course and distance win last time looks solid and he can go well, while Sonny Red created a favourable impression when scoring at Newmarket on his debut, although the runner-up was turned over at short odds on Saturday. Bazroy will need to build on his all-weather debut win, although with plenty of speed in his blood, that is entirely possible, while Lord Charles' efforts so far have been decent enough, and this track will probably suit him better than Chester last time. Pernomente is closely matched with Lord Charles based on April Lingfield all-weather form, but has only a two pounds turnaround at the weights for six-and-a-half lengths based on all-weather form with Bazroy at the same venue. Finally, Best Woman will need to step up on her Thirsk claiming win to play a big part here, which, in turn, returns us to the selection, which is Hoh Mike.
