Heavy going may not be ideal for Outcrop but he’s been in decent form over hurdles and will likely be doing his best work at the finish, though this will be a test for horse and jockey alike. King Athelstan won at Brighton last month while Para Queen was a course and distance winner in August. Cousin Khee lacks a recent run and is best on Fibresand while this may be too far for Milan Reef. We’ll take a chance on L’UN DEUX TROIS, who was well backed in much better company last time at Catterick. The headgear is dispensed with here and he would have solid claims on his second to the useful Moon King at Wetherby in the spring.
