Verdict

Baron's Pit was made a warm order on his Kempton debut and may have met an above average when having to settle for second placing behind Among Friends. Richard Hannon's colt should improve appreciably for the experience and can make his mark at this level. Marabello ran well in the face of a stiff task on his debut in useful company at Ascot when third behind Rockets'n Rollers. The son of Robellino was slightly hampered in the closing stages and is a leading contender while Newbury winner Polar Force can do better on this more conventional track after getting outpaced at Chester last time. Musselburgh winner Notty Bitz confirmed he is on the upgrade after a solid performance in soft ground over course and distance last week.
