Provided she takes to hurdling well then Kingsbay can be the one to take this weak novices' contest, with Alfie's Sun and perhaps Jet Magic others to consider. The selection has shown a decent level of form in three bumpers on a variety of ground last season, and she looks likely to come into her own over this longer trip. Handily, she receives almost a stone from the topweight and that can prove to be decisive, as Hughie Morrison will have her well schooled and ready. Alfie's Sun is the one that heads the weights courtesy of a win on his seasonal return at Huntingdon last month. He had to be driven out there after making mistakes and the penalty will make it tougher now, so he is just opposed. Not much else inspires here, though watch for any market moves where Jet Magic is concerned. He is likely to know his job on debut and Alan King has been having winners so a big run cannot be discounted. However, Kingsbay promised a fair bit in bumpers and can deliver over hurdles today.
