Marysienka showed enough on her debut to suggest she can win a race of this nature, and is selected to get the better of Daffodilly, who could be the pick of the newcomers. Richard Hannon's well-bred filly showed plenty of speed on her debut at Warwick, but was not particularly well drawn that day and faded inside the final furlong to finish fourth. That was a fair run, and she can be expected to strip a lot fitter today so can continue the good record of the stable's juveniles at this track. Two of the newcomers make appeal, notably Daffodilly, a well bred sort whose stable is in cracking form at present and any market support for Michael Jarvis' horse could be of added significance. Mick Channon has already produced some good juveniles, so the same remark can apply to the relatively expensive yearling Silca's Gift, while Geoff Wragg's Miss La Napoule is likely to come into her own over longer than today's trip.
