Chevallier only won a claimer at Wolverhampton in March and Come On Tier’s victory at Lingfield a month later came in a seller. Sir Roderic is a consistent sort, however, and effective between 6f and 1m. Custard The Dragon wasn’t disgraced returning from a break at Leicester and is well treated compared to his all-weather rating but Chelmsford scorer Lothario hasn’t exactly excelled in three previous runs on Turf here. GRAPEVINE is better over further but conditions could bring his stamina into play so he is taken to end a frustrating sequence. Letsbe Avenue won off a higher mark last year but there are concerns about the going.
