In depth

Verdict

Kempton winner Noble Masquerade went close again at York last time and has decent claims once again. Maiden winner First Connection ran well at Chepstow on his handicap bow and makes more appeal than Rhebus Road, who disappointed when favourite at Doncaster, but it could pay to stick with TYNWALD. The latter is unbeaten in a couple of novice races at Bath and having beaten a subsequent winner when defying a penalty last time, Richard Hughes’ charge can make a winning start in handicaps.
