OPERA PRINCE gets our vote here, being selected ahead of Mahadee and Formation. It's a very open looking contest though with plenty having chances, more than half of them have at least one win to their name over the distance. The selection is one of those that has only won over a shorter trip as he's previously only raced up to a mile. Expect a patient ride before the button is pushed, and he does have plenty in the locker. He'll go better with a little cut in the ground. Mahadee's got plenty in hand at the weights and is the consistent sort, also adaptable to different conditions. A winner on turf and the all-weather, he'll be supported here. Formation looks to be a bit of a character but responds when push comes to shove as was the case when winning a similar contest at Pontefract back in the summer. It's a quick return to racing for him having been outclassed in a better race on Friday at Lingfield.
