Verdict
The market can be our best friend here with half the field seeing a course for the first time, including our selection RAINBOW DESERT who could be another winning debutante for Godolphin. She's joined on our shortlist by Serious Drinking and Parallel. Rainbow Desert was a costly yearling in America, and could turn out to be anything but given the form of the yard and her breeding she's due the utmost respect. They won this race two years ago with a similar debutante. Serious Drinking would need to show improvement from a Wolverhampton debut to land this. She's entitled to progress though. Parallel is also entitled to improve from her first outing; she's a half-sister to several winners and John Gosden knows how to win this race having landed it twice previously with short-priced favourites. The betting ring needs to be closely watched though for those being backed or swerved, but until the market's formed at least we'll side with Rainbow Desert.
