Roger Varian has made a promising start and it will be interesting to see if there's any money for his St Jovite newcomer Native Colony. Aldedash will surely improve on his debut second at Lingfield in December but Nibani may be best watched on his first start since being a beaten favourite in this race 12 months ago. Musical Flight is well related and showed some promise on his debut at Newbury last September, while Informed Award was third on his first start over C&D last week and will know more today. But it may be worth taking a chance on the fitness of LAUGHING JACK, who is a half-brother to numerous smart performers and clearly found a mile an insufficient test of stamina on his debut for Michael Bell at Newmarket in October. Now with Ed Dunlop, the Beat Hollow colt can get off the mark today.
