In depth

Verdict

Carp Kid is a consistent sort and just came up short last time at Goodwood with Lawn Ranger third. He’s been raised 2lb for that but looks sure to be in the firing-line again on a track that suits. Andaleep rattled up a hat-trick in August and can be forgiven his latest run on Tapeta but FURTHER MEASURE was an eye-catcher returning from a long break at Newbury and can build on that. Tartan Chief has been knocking on the door and heavy ground was against Beautiful Crown at Epsom. Lebsayer also has claims having finished second here on his handicap debut. He is less exposed than Bunker Bay.
