Gary Moore's THE SHUFFLER showed improved form for being stepped up to a mile when landing a classified stakes race at Brighton last month and, despite a 7lb rise for that success, the son of Reset has an obvious chance of winning again and gets the vote to do just that with the main dangers rated as Goldtrek and Right Rave. The last mentioned was outpaced behind Contredanse over course and distance last month but was not beaten that far and he has to be respected racing off the same mark today. Chateau Zara has shown improved form for Clive Cox since returning to the turf but is probably a shade high in the weights, while Tom Wade represents the in-form yard of Michael Jarvis but needs to step up on juvenile form to get involved at the business end of the race. Until The Man unseated his rider at the start last time and is hard to recommend after that effort and of more interest may be Volatilis, who has been running well on the Polytrack of late. Roger Charlton's Goldtrek is relatively lightly raced and has solid claims off the same mark as when a close fourth at Nottingham last month but a better bet looks to be The Shuffler, who can follow up his recent Brighton success.
