Matsunosuke would have hosed up in his pomp and is still just the top-rated on official ratings. He may still be good enough but Efistorm, one year his senior at 11, and BUNCE are preferred. The former has his 125th outing here and his 15th of the year but hasn't been seen on soft ground since 2008 no less. In contrast, Bunce has no such ground concerns and also stays a seventh furlong which may prove very useful in these conditions. Kyllachy Storm has scored every year since 2008 and is not discounted but he does tend to reserve his best days for Bath.
