In depth

Verdict

Sydney Ruffdiamond, OWER FLY and Nisser are all previous course winners but the former, fifth on his reappearance at Goodwood, looks high enough in the weights at present and the latter has a lengthy absence to overcome. Richard Hannon's three-year-old was only beaten a neck at Bath after scoring over course and distance five days earlier and looks the one to be on. Cincuenta Pasos is running well enough to make the frame again but Wolverhampton winner Justice First has been racing over further. Sir Billy Wright is preferred to the returning Force and Cool Bahamian of the others.
