Both Mountain Range and FINE THREADS ended their first campaigns in winning form and are likely to do much better this season. The latter in particular has scope to make major improvement and could have been let in off a very fair mark for her handicap debut. Tijori won a couple of minor races before running reasonably well in a better event at Salisbury while another unexposed type, Undulant Way, begins her handicap career from the bottom of the weights after three maiden runs and she's bred to be much better over middle-distances. Praxios is another with the requisite three runs behind him and looks just the type that Luca Cumani, who won this last year, does so well with. Jaridh ran a shocker at Kempton in October after showing some promise at Wolverhampton earlier but Little Black Book stormed home in a Southwell maiden and could be anything though this is obviously much tougher.
