In depth

Verdict

Full Of Zest could be the answer to this tricky finale, Meggido, Golden Applause and Perfect Blend have also shown plenty of ability and should be in the shake up. Amanda Perrett's filly came up against a Godolphin newcomer on her only outing as a two-year-old and did well to finish just two and half lengths behind in second. The race is working out well with the third and fourth both now rated in the eighties and so if fit for her first run of the season she will be hard to beat. Meggido is proving a little bit disappointing but cannot easily be dismissed here. Neither can Golden Applause who chased home Roman Villa at Newmarket last time. However the main threat to the selection could come from Perfect Blind. The Barry Hills trained filly is improving with each run and her recent effort over course and distance gives her very strong claims. So fitness has to be taken on trust, but Full Of Zest is our idea of the winner.
