In depth

Verdict

The market should provide the best guide to the outcome of this contest with many of the top stables represented. The Hannon yard more often than not hold the aces in juvenile events at this venue and Ruasgreyasme, one of three fillies in the contest appears the yards first string based on jockey bookings. American bred, the quicker surface on offer here is likely to suit and a high draw will benefit given her inexperience. West Leake is another newcomer of real interest. A full-brother to the smart handicapper Mega Watt, this 42,000 guineas purchase should know his job given connections. Impressionist Art is another worth keeping a close eye in the market as he is bred to be decent while the most expensive purchase was Nasri, the second of two runners for the Brian Meehan yard. The once raced Desert Icon displayed some promise at Newmarket although the suspicions are that it may not have been a smart maiden. Cawdor is bred to be speedy and is another worth keeping an eye on for future reference but Ruasgreyasme gets the vote.
