Verdict

Piccleyes left his previous form behind with a game victory at Lingfield last time and he can follow up from Royal Advocate and Isaz. Richard Hannon's colt stuck on really well after coming under pressure a long way from home. The win will have boosted his confidence and another big run is expected. Isaz has to shoulder top-weight but has shown enough in maidens to warrant a mention in this company. However Royal Advocate may the the main rival to the selection following two promising efforts this season. Both those outings were on the all-weather, but he showed up well in a six furlong maiden here last summer and will benefit from this drop in trip tonight. It is a very tricky finale but Piccleyes holds strong claims and gets our vote.
