In depth

Verdict

The day’s feature looks wide open. Eminency’s only win so far came over course and distance last July and he hasn’t been beaten far in his two runs this term. Soft ground was a legitimate excuses for Buccabay at Newmarket and Tough Enough has plenty of scope for further improvement this year. Bresson did nothing wrong returning to action at Goodwood and Spartan Arrow found 5f too sharp when favourite at York. WILTSHIRE has been racing over 7f but at a much higher level. He’s certainly not short of pace and there will be no hanging about here. Batal Dubai won twice on fast ground last year and is not out of this.
