        Verdict

        This is a bit tricky with Last Warrior, Peppertree, Topjeu and Nimra short listed, with the selection being Peppertree. Much as she is among a number of runners here to have shown promise, Peppertree looked a potential improver on her Nottingham debut and looks to hold solid enough claims. Grave Matters showed improvement on his second run and holds place claims. Acknowledgement has shown some promise although his latest effort lacked sparkle. Last Warrior holds plenty of interest on breeding, while Topjeu stayed on late after running green on he Newbury debut and is another to consider. Nimra was considered good enough to run in the Lingfield Oaks Trial but is better judged on her Chepstow maiden second last time, on which she holds chances. Sybella has five lengths to find on her based on her racecourse debut. Overall, though, we will take a chance on Peppertree.
