The market should provide us with some clues to the outcome of this event with ten of the sixteen going to post making their racecourse debuts. Two of those ten newcomers are saddled by Sir Michael Stoute and the most interesting of those is Voice Coach, an Alhaarth colt. Voice Coach is a half-brother to the yards former decent race mare Scottish Stage. Porthole is another that warrants respect after a very promising racecourse debut last backend where he caught many an eye doing his best work in the closing stages. The general consensus was that it was a good maiden and that is confirmed by how those in front and behind have run since. Torphican is a well-bred newcomer who should come into his own over further along with the Luca Cumani trained - Capstan, the yard not renowned for 2yr old winners. Cuban Rhythm showed some promise on her only outing last season but the Charlton horses tend to need an outing. We will give the vote to Voice Coach but the market will inform us of more.
