Blandys Wood is a tentative choice in a race where many are open ti improvement, Caltire and Pearo could be the main rivals. Mick Channon's charge is rated 60 at present and ran up to that mark when chasing home Adam Eterno last time out. She should reverse the form on today's terms and looks to have strong claims of taking the contest. Pearo did manage a recent victory, beating Bettys Touch in a similar race at Yarmouth. The step up in trip is a slight concern but she should still be involved in the finish. Caltire has had just the one outing and showed very little in that Wolverhampton event. However he is nicely bred and was relatively expensive so we expect a better showing this afternoon. Rubytwosox is well exposed but also comes into the argument. All in all a very tricky affair and Blandys Wood is just a token selection.
