Verdict
First Trim is the pick ahead of Tina's Best, Your Pleasure, Ever Hopeful and Aaim For Applause. First Trim has shown promise on each of his last two starts, finishing third at both Ripon and Goodwood, and was partnered by Jamie Spencer last time. Brian Meehan's charge caught the eye that day, being prominent for a long time, and with the stable's youngsters in form, he can overcome a wide draw to open his account. Tina's Best lost out in a close finish at The Curragh last time, and so will be expected to make her presence felt, while Cheveley Park entry Your Pleasure will appreciate the step up to six-furlongs based on her promising Sandown introduction. Ever Hopeful has plenty of experience, while Aaim For Applause falls into the same category, but both are looking exposed already. Pha Mai Blue adds to a tricky opening event in which First Trim is only a tentative selection.
