Polperro had every chance again when second at Leicester last month and is becoming expensive to follow. No doubt he'll be popular here but there are several less-exposed rivals open to more improvement. Knightly Escapade was third over C&D in May, while General Synod has started favourite in three of his four starts though returns here after a break. Haman, an $85,000 yearling, is an interesting debutant but ASHIRI is heading in the right direction judged on his fourth over C&D two weeks ago and is fancied to get off the mark today.
