The New Black won at Brighton before finishing third at Kempton and is in decent form while Lady Sylvia was only beaten a neck on her latest start at Salisbury. Imtithal, Mitie Mouse and Purple Affair are all proving hard to win with, however, and Flavius Victor hasn't found much for pressure in two starts this year though is starting to come down the weights. HIGHLAND DUKE has a decent pedigree and, as expected, showed a bit more when stepped up to a mile at Leicester in May. The handicapper has taken no chances with Clive Cox' colt but he has plenty of scope and could easily be good enough in a race that won't take much winning.
