Verdict

It will be interesting to see what Jonjo O'Neill's Akram achieves back on the level having seemingly failed to take to hurdles but he is hard to recommend with any confidence and a better bet looks to be Librettist, who is preferred to Prince of Light. The selection made a highly satisfactory return when running out the easy winner of a Listed race at Nottingham last month and is taken to follow up that success having been given a sufficiently long break since then to hopefully avoid the bounce factor. Charlie Egerton's Humungous gave little sign for optimism on his reappearance, while Forward Move was well held in the Wolferton last time and may be another that is best watched. Prince of Light has to be respected on his return with the yard of Mark Johnston in such good form but Librettist is hard to oppose on Nottingham evidence and he gets the vote.
