In depth

Verdict

Robbie Dunne's claim almost halves the penalty Tenor Nivernais collected after winning at Bangor last month but the six-year-old never travelled with any conviction at Newbury next time and could be a little erratic over hurdles. He may not find it easy to give weight to AMBION WOOD, a very progressive staying hurdler last season and entitled to need the run and experience when sent off favourite for his fencing bow at Exeter on New Year's Day. Valoroso may need more time and Milans Well hasn't run for a while but Isthereadifference had a spin in a jumpers' bumper four days ago and is a winner between the flags.
