Verdict

Irish imports Contented and Tikken Away may improve for the run. Smaoineamh Alainn is penalised for winning a mares' hurdle at Chepstow in March so this presents a good opportunity for DIAMOND GUY. Though the latter only had three rivals in a bumper here in April, he could not have been more impressive and is likely to do well over hurdles. Another bumper winner The Black Squirrel was made favourite on his hurdling debut at Stratford but was well beaten and is best watched for now.
